The SLOWDOWN is A TRIBUTE TO OMAHA’S MUSIC LEGENDS Nate Bray & The Soul Supreme Band and many of OMAHA’s greatest musicians and vocalists unite/reunite to give tribute to Omaha’s Music Legends who inspired their musical journey and helped pave the way to OMAHA’s rich musical history including Preston Love, Buddy Miles, Luigi Waites, Jeanne Rogers and many more! Guests performing include Carol Rogers, Linda Harris, Craig “Thumper” Samuels, David Waites, Nate Bray, Richie Love, Norman Love and more!

We will be hosting a screening of Divisible, an educational documentary film that explores the impacts of redlining in Omaha, specifically the Near North Side. This event will be free for all and is targeted for adults, youths, and young professionals. Attendees will be able to connect with our partner organizations who are working on these issues directly.

Many of the Legends being honored have been inducted into The Omaha Black Music Hall of Fame, The Nebraska Music Hall of Fame, and The Nebraska Performing Arts Hall of Fame.
